Oggs Receive Sad News from the War Front
Mr. & Mrs. Charles Ogg have received the sad news of the death of their granddaughter’s husband, Pfc. William Jordan, killed in action in the fighting near Saigon, Vietnam. He had been in Vietnam only a few weeks and was in the fighting constantly after arriving there.
Mrs. Jordan is the former Bonnie Ogg, daughter of Judge & Mrs. Jack Ogg of Prescott.
A five weeks old baby boy survives his 26-year old father.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday March 16 for Army Pfc. William Jordan, 20 year--old husband of Bonnie Ogg, granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Ogg of Wickenburg, who lost his life in Vietnam.
The funeral was held in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott and burial with full military honors followed in the Veterans Cemetery at Fr. Whipple.
An honor guard from Ft. Huachuca was in charge of the graveside services.
Jordan lost his life March 4 when a light patrol boat overturned and sank during a night mission in the Mekong Delta near Saigon.
He entered the service last August and was sent to Vietnam January 25.
He was born January 27, 1948 in Durango, Colo., attended Prescott schools, graduating from high school there in 1965.
In addition to his wife and 2 month old son Gary, he is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mr. F.G Jordan and three brothers, Kurt, Fred and Chris, all of Prescott.
