West Valley View, Avondale, AZ April 09, 2010 Pearl Lee (nee Braker) Johnson, 71, of Bakersfield, Calif., and formerly of Avondale died from cancer March 20, 2010, in Bakersfield. She was born July 21, 1939, in Crocket, Texas, to James and Inez Braker. She attended Avondale Elementary School and Litchfield High School. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by four daughters, Gloria Gibson of Phoenix, Diane of Bakersfield; Aundrea of Phoenix and Rayemona of La Palma, Calif.; two sons, Nelson D. Jr. of Avondale and Vincent of Los Angeles; three sisters, Faye Shepard of Avondale, Robbie Morton of Phoenix and Trina of Phoenix; four brothers, J.B. Braker of Phoenix; John Lee of Chicago; J.C. of Avondale and Jerome Malloy of Phoenix; 22 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Services were held April 2 in Bakersfield.
