Mrs. Mrs. Sears Winsor, 59, of Phoenix and Wickenburg, died yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Boston, she was a world traveler who permanently moved to Arizona seven years ago after spending several winter in Wickenburg. Mrs. Winsor, of 6034 E. Rose Circle Drive, Phoenix, maintained a home in Wickenburg.
She served as a Red Cross volunteer in Europe during World War II. She was a member of two riding clubs, Las Damas in Wickenburg and Saddlebags in Scottsdale.
Survivors include her father, P.A. Sears of East Dennis, Mass.; three brothers, David Sears of Wellesley, Mass., Frederick R. Sears of Lima, Peru, and John W. Sears of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and a sister, Phyllis Sears of Lima, Peru.
Mrs. Edmund B. Price, a close friend with whom Mrs. Winsor had been living at the Phoenix address, said there will be a private cremation at Mortensen-King Funeral Center, 1020 W. Washington, and a memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Albans Episcopal Church in Wickenburg.
In compliance with her will, Mrs. Winsor's ashes will be scattered from an airplane over Vulture Mountain in Wickenburg. It is suggested that donations be sent to her favorite charity, the Mark Morris Foundation, Topeka, Kan.
