SHIELDS, Elizabeth (Betty)

Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 2, 1968 Elizabeth Shields Funeral services were held at the Yarnell Community Church April 26 for Mrs. Elizabeth A. (Betty) Shields of Yarnell, who died in her sleep April 22. Burial was in the Genung Memorial Park in Peeples Valley. A native of Oklahoma, she had lived in Yarnell 22 years, was one of the founders of the Wranglerettes and was noted for her charitable work. She was 62 years of age. A surviving brother and four sisters all live out of state. ~~~~~~~ Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 9, 1968 This community was saddened by the death of Betty Shields, who passed away in her sleep April 22. Betty, along with Mrs. Esther Tilley and Grace Quinn (deceased) were the institutors of the Yarnell Wranglerettes, Inc., and much thanks are due to Betty for all her interest and services the first 10 years of the club’s existence. Betty did a lot of good and played Good Samaritan to a lot of folks in need.
