Mrs. Edith Nichols
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo., for Mrs. Edith Franciscus Nichols, a well known resident of Wickenburg for more than 17 years, who died at her home in Sylvan Village Apartments May 5.
Dr. Charles S. Poling of Phoenix, former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here and the present pastor, the Rev. H. Howard Blazer, will conduct funeral services in the Wickenburg Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday of this week.
Mrs. Nichols and her late husband Albert B. Nichols came here from Cleveland, O. They took an active part in the life of the community and their many charitable undertakings, without publicity or fanfare, endeared them to those who learned of those generous acts.
Mr. Nichols was killed in an automobile accident at the intersection of the California Highway and the Vulture Mine Road in 1957. His widow will be buried beside him in the cemetery in St. Louis. Mrs. Nichols has no close survivors.
