Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 23, 1968, page 1,2 One Killed, One Injured in Vietnam A former Wickenburg youth has lost his life in action in Vietnam and another local boy, wounded severely, is recovering in the 249th General Hospital in Tokyo. Allan Barnes, 21-year-old son of Roy Barnes of Parker, Arizona, who attended Wickenburg High School several years died May 13 [1968] of wounds received the previous day when he and two other Parker soldiers care under enemy mortar fire.
