Joseph Pouquette
Funeral Mass was sung at 10 a.m. Monday of this week in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williams, Ariz., for Joseph Pouquette, a resident of Wickenburg for many years, who died May 21 in Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.
Mr. Pouquette, age 80, had also maintained a residence in Williams. Burial was in the cemetery in that city.
The Pouquette home in Wickenburg was for years on Yavapai Street across from the Elementary School. His son Pierre Pouquette, and sister, Mrs. Charlotte Pouquette, are well known resident of Wickenburg.
Joseph Pouquette was born in Ventura, Calif., and came to Arizona and the Ash fork area in 1900 where he later established a 3,000-head sheep ranch.
Survivors, in addition to the son Pierre and sister, Mrs. Charlotte Pouquette, include another son Albert of Williams; a daughter, Mrs. Maser Lund of Phoenix; three other sisters, two in France and one out of state, and two brothers, also out of state, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
