Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 4, 1968 Carolyn Chambers Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday in the First Presbyterian Church here for Mrs. Carolyn Ray Chambers of Northridge, Calif., daughter of Mrs. Myrtle Gibson, and the late James B. Gibson of Wickenburg. She died June 27 in the Sherman Oaks, Calif. Community Hospital following a long illness. The Rev. Dan Gerrard of Christ’s Church of the Ascension, Phoenix, conducted the services and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs. Chambers, the former Carolyn Gibson, was born November 12, 1929 in Owensboro, Kentucky, and came to Arizona as a child. She was graduated from Litchfield Park High School in 1946 and had lived in California since. She is survived by a daughter Dixie Ray and son Robert, both at home; her mother and two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Jerry) Hanger of Glendale, Ariz., and Sandra Gibson of Northridge.
