The death of Edward Lee (Eddie) Dickinson was learned with sorrow by his many warm friends not only in this community but also in Cottonwood and the Verde Valley of Arizona where, as the son of pioneer settler, he spent much of his life.
He died the morning of July 4 in Community Hospital here, following a lingering illness. Funeral services, conducted by Bishop Clark Ashby of the LDS Church, were held from the Wickenburg Funeral Home at 10 o’clock last Saturday morning and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
Mr. Dickinson was born February 20, 1906 and was a meat cutter during most of his mature life. He moved to Wickenburg in June, 1955 and had lived here most of the time since.
He is survived by his wife Jessie M. and three children Mrs. Dixie Baxter, Wickenburg; Mrs. Nova Brown, Prescott and a son, Frank Lee Dickinson, Wickenburg; his mother, Mrs. Hulda Marshall, Coolidge, Ariz.; two brothers, Vaudrey S. Dickinson, Wickenburg and Frank H. Dickinson, Flagstaff, and three sisters, Mrs. Alta Spooner, Coolidge; Mrs. Helen Moxcey, Apache Junction, Ariz., and Mrs. Mattie Brashears, Chinle, Ariz. Five grandchildren also survive.
