Dr. Harvey, veteran Veterinarian, Dies.
The death of Dr. Forest E. Harvey to Community Hospital the afternoon of Saturday, September 14 was not unexpected, but nevertheless the news brought sadness to his many friends here and throughout the state. A practicing Veterinarian for the past 32 years, 16 of them in Wickenburg and prior to that in Phoenix, Dr. Harvey was widely known and respected in his field of activity. For most of those years he officiated at all of the big dog shows in Phoenix as the consulting Veterinarian and he enjoyed an extensive acquaintance among dog owner and lover who participated in those shows.
Funeral services for Dr. Harvey were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. W. Howard Blazer officiating.
Dr. Harvey was born September 12, 1906 in Bucklin, Mo. He received his degree in Veterinary medicine from Colorado State University in 1936 and began his practice in Phoenix shortly thereafter sixteen years later he moved to Wickenburg where he established the Wickenburg Animal Hospital on the Phoenix Highway.
He is survived by his wife Helen M.; a son Wallace M. of Glendale and a brother, Dr. Marvin H. Harvey of Sherman Oaks, Calif.
