Marine Son of Local Woman Killed In War
Funeral services will be held in the First Baptist church here, at a time not determined at press time, for Cpl. Albert J. Dair of the U.S. Marine corps, son of Mrs. Buna Ginther of Wickenburg.
The body was due to arrive here Wednesday, according to a telegram received Tuesday by his mother. She had been previously informed of her son’s death September 18 from fragmentation wounds received in action in the Quang Nam Province of Vietnam. Notifications came from General Leonard F. Chapman, Jr. Commandant of the Marine Corps.
Cpl. Dair, who was born May 28, 1941, in Muskegon, Mich., lived in Wickenburg as a boy and attended the Wickenburg elementary School.
He was serving his third assignment to Vietnam at the time of his death, having returned to the war front three months ago after a leave of absence part of which he spent here.
Beside his mother, he is survived by one sister, Deidra Sue of Wickenburg and his step-father.
Tech. Sgt. Stanley C. Ginther who was expected here from Tehran, Iran, for the funeral services.
The Corporal was the grandson of the Stanley Ginthers of Wickenburg.

Funeral services for Cpl. Albert J. Dair, of the U.S. Marine Corps, son of Mrs. Buna Ginther of Wickenburg who was killed in action in Vietnam September 18, were held at the First Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Friday, September 27. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
