Kenneth "Pete" Pearsall - Sedona, Arizona - Died 9/30/2011 Born 9/9/29 in Scott City, Kansas. Moved with his family to Arizona as a young child during the Dust Bowl, growing up in Flagstaff.
Pete joined the Army after graduating High School, playing the trumpet in the Army Band for four years. He then went to NAU graduating with a teaching degree in Business Education. Pete was NAU Homecoming King in 1955. His first teaching job was in Seligman, AZ, where he developed lifelong friendships, started his family and created many fond memories.
In 1961, he and his young family relocated to Fontana, CA, where his career flourished upon completion of his Master's Degree in Education. He continued teaching, eventually becoming Assistant Principal at Fontana High School, Principal of 3 Junior High Schools and ultimately Assistant Superintendent of Personnel for Fontana Unified School District. Pete retired from FUSD in 1989 having loved his career and his many years with FUSD. He was a very well respected and admired administrator.
Retirement led to a move to Sedona, AZ with his wife Jo Ann, where he continued his beloved fishing and trumpet playing. He loved people and provided the community of Sedona Shadows several mini-concerts and potluck parties in his beautiful yard in Sunset Hills. These times brought Pete great joy!
He is survived by his "Angel from Heaven" ‘Bridgette', a Shih Tzu dog he dearly loved, his wife of 28 years Jo Ann, son Anthony Pearsall (Ming) of Miami Lakes, FL, son Vincent Pearsall of Fontana, CA, daughter Rosanne Skipper (Eddie) of Citrus Springs, FL, step-daughters Cindy Stimmell (Harry) of Mira Loma, CA, Debi Nursall (Jim) of Yucaipa, CA, 3 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren . Pete is also survived by 2 brothers and a sister.
