Greers Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Jim Hosteen, Jr. September 21, 2011 Funeral Services for Jim Hosteen, Jr. , 54, will be held at 10:00 AM (MST), Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Winslow Stake Center, 205 W. Lee St., Winslow, AZ. Viewing will be held one hour prior in the Relief Society Room. Burial will follow in Desert View Cemetery, Winslow, AZ. Jim Hosteen, Jr. passed away on September 21, 2011 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on May 11, 1957 in Keams Canyon, AZ to Jim & Mary Ahasteen, Sr. His clans are Todicheenie born for the Natoh Dine Tachiinii. His Nali is Tabaha and Chei is Tsenijikini. Jim Hosteen loved riding horses, working cattle and loved helping his family no matter what the need be. He was always a positive person no matter how hard the task were. He also participated in steer wrestling . Jim is survived by his mother, Mary T. Ahasteen of St. Michaels, AZ.; son, Jacob Hosteen of Crystal, NM.; daughter Symmo Hosteen of St. Michaels, AZ.; brothers, James Ahasteen of Ganado, AZ., Jack Ahasteen of Window Rock, AZ., Gary Ahasteen of Casa Grande, AZ. and Larry Ahasteen of Ft. Defiance, AZ.; sisters, Barbara Ahasteen, Susie Ahasteen, Lorraine Ahasteen and Sarah Ahasteen all of St. Michaels, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Ahasteen, Sr.; aunts, Phoebe R. Hill, Nona T. Newby and Millicent Kanuho; uncles, John Billy, Arlie Ahasteen, Woodie Ahasteen, Sr., Louie Ahasteen and Mark Charley. Pallbearers, Leon Ahasteen, Chris Ahasteen, Iran Lewis,Jacob Hosteen and Yazzie Charley.
