OGLETREE, Joseph (Joe) William


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/11/2011 Joe Ogletree, 74, of Show Low died Oct. 4, 2011 at his home. Mr. Ogletree, an electrician, was born Feb. 23, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo. He grew up in St. Louis, where he attended school. Following high school he served in both the Army and the Air Force. Following his military service, he worked as an electrician. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and “four wheeling.” He is survived by his wife, Ramona of Show Low; son, John Paul Brandt of Martinsdale, Mont.; daughters: Linda, Cheryl, Lisa, Kelly and Tracy all of Las Vegas, Nev.; Laurie of Fairfax, Okla., and Bobbi Jo of Show Low; sister Peggy of Texas; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jolene Denise Ogletree; parents, Joseph and Helen Ogletree and his sister, Helen Williams. Funeral mass was celebrated Friday, Oct. 7, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 1400 E. Owens in Show Low. Interment followed in the Show Low Cemetery. Black’s Show Low Mortuary handled arrangements. Note: The obit information contains an error which was printed in the paper. Joe served in the Air Force, but not the Army ~ per his sister Peggy Ogletree Tichenor.
