RIDENHOUR, D. Paul

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, October 11, 2011 D. Paul Ridenhour passed away on Oct. 6, 2011, in Thunderbird Banner Hospital Glendale, Ariz., at the age of 61. Paul was born in Prescott, Ariz., July 26, 1950, to Bruce L. Ridenhour and Mattie Virginia Ridenhour and lived his entire life in Prescott. During his first year in college at NAU, he broke his neck in a swimming accident and spent the rest of his life as a quadriplegic. Even though he was paralyzed from the neck down, he did work for several years for the Prescott Yavapai Indian Tribe and the Yavapai Government doing bookkeeping and computer work. Prior to his accident he spent a good deal of time hiking in the Grand Canyon and loved to spend time there. Several years after his accident, he discovered his faith and happiness at the Potter's House, and spent the remainder of his life in worshipping and fellowship. He truly enjoyed working for the benefit of his Lord and the salvation of others. He is survived by two brothers John (Judy) Ridenhour and David (Carolyn) Ridenhour, and his longtime faithful caregiver Linda Hunt. A memorial service will be in his honor 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at the Potter's House, 5195 N. State Rt. 89, Prescott, Ariz. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Potter's House or to your favorite charity. Information provided by survivors.
