HEALY, Mary Elizabeth

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, October 12, 2011 Mary Elizabeth Healy, age 91 of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Oct. 6, 2011 at Friendship Village in Mesa, Ariz. She was born in Bicknell, Ind. on May 5, 1920, the daughter of George and Bernice (Whitman) Aplin. Mary was the co-owner of Healy Auto Center, a member of the Tuesday Book Club and Eastern Star. She enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Healy, and her brother, George Aplin. Mary is survived by her children, Judy Hayes, Frank (Beverly) Healy, Robert “Bob” Healy, Lawrence “Butch” Healy, and Karen Stafford; her sister, Janice Zeller; as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe. Interment was at Globe Cemetery. The family requests memorials be sent to: Hospice of the Valley/Friendship Village, 2525 E. Southern Ave., Mesa, AZ 85282. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
