Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Wednesday, October 5, 2011 - Linda Joyce Walker July 21, 1953 — Oct. 03, 2011 Linda Joyce Walker, 58, passed away in Lake Havasu City Monday. She was born July 21, 1953, in Hawthorne, Calif., to Jack and LaVerna Ragsdale. Linda and her husband, Steve Walker, were married in Lake Havasu City Sept. 19, 1972, and enjoyed 39 wonderful years together. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She worked at Crazy Horse Campground and several local motels before her cancer diagnosis forced her to retire. Linda had a smile that would light up the room and she loved all the babies that were in her family. She had a soft and quite demeanor and was a kind and gentle soul who loved attending church at God’s Grace the Church on Fire. She will be deeply missed and always loved. Linda is survived by her husband of 39 years, Steve Walker, of Lake Havasu City; son, Johnny (Sonja) Walker; daughter, Kathy (Joe) Whitson; grandchildren, “The Three Little Bits,” Angel, Elizabeth and Hezekiah Whitson; sisters, Sandi (Roddy) Gomez, Carol Henson, Pat Crabtree and Allie Jo Scott; brother, Ronald Ragsdale; and many nieces and nephews who were very special to Linda. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Ragsdale; and sisters, Diane Walker and Betty Gibson. Memorial service will be held at God’s Grace Church, 1535 El Camino Drive Saturday, at 4:30 p.m. A celebration of Linda’s life will immediately follow at Crazy Horse Campground.
