Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, October 8, 2011 - Roberta Jean Sherrill 72, passed away June 2, 2011 in Lake Havasu City from her battle with cancer. She was born in Seattle, Wash. on May 24,1939. She graduated in 1957 from Anaheim Union High School in Anaheim, Calif. where she married and had her three children. In the early 70’s she moved to Lake Havasu City for a few years and before moving back to California. In 2003 she retired in Lake Havasu City where she enjoyed spending time at her church, knitting, shopping and gardening. Roberta is survived by her two daughters Stephenie Ivy and Katherine Ellis of Lake Havasu City; her sisters Janis, Arlene and DeeDee and her three grandchildren Mason, Harlie and Shaelynne of Lake Havasu City. She is preceded in death by her son Scott Ellis, parents Mary and William Smith and her sister Jessie. The Family would like to thank Hospice of Havasu for all their kindness and support during her last days; words cannot express the gratitude that we feel. She will be truly missed.
