A. Lloyd Davidson, 75, went to be with the Lord on Monday. He was born on July 5, 1936, in Huntington, Mass., to Arlie E. and Odna Davidson.
After graduating Lanphier High School in Springfield, Ill., Lloyd joined the Navy in June 1954, and served in the submarine division and reserves until his honorable discharge in May 1962. He married his beloved wife, Kay Darlene McIntosh, Aug. 28, 1958, in Springfield, Ill. Together they moved to Lake Havasu City nine years ago. He was very active with Child Evangelism Fellowship and served as an interim pastor in Indiana and worked for many years for Simplex Time Recorder Co., in sales, service and lastly, branch manager. Lloyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff and volunteers at Hospice of Havasu and the Polidori House as well as Pastor Jon Maki of Havasu Alliance Church.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Kay Darlene Davidson, of Lake Havasu City; eight children, Lorri (John) Spiering, of Fullerton, Calif., Cory (Sarah) Layne, of Saugus, Calif., Cullen Lloyd, of Jacksonville, Fla., Linda (Keith) Friedly, of Lake Havasu City, Cirby (Stephanie), of Reno, Nev., Lynette Wooden, of Quartz Hill, Calif., Curtis (Sharonda) Lloyd, of Lancaster, Calif., and Lesly (Mike) Fenderson, of Lake Havasu City; sister, Martha (Bill) Lee of Ooltewah, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Lorene McIntosh of Springfield, Ill.; brother-in-law, James (Carolyn) McIntosh of Swansee, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arlie F.; an infant sister, Mary Ann; and father-in-law, Conrad McIntosh.
A Celebration of Lloyd’s life will be at 3 p.m., Saturday at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lloyd’s name to Hopsice of Havasu’s Polidori House, 1870 Bahama Ave., LHC.
