Ira D. "Bob Shields, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1976, at Desert Samaritan Hospital. He had been a highway patrolman and in the insurance business. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; children, Allan and Peggy Forter; a brother; a sister; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Gibbons Bunker Garden Chapel. Additional services and burial was in Oakland, California. The Arizona Republic 1/15/1976.
