Allred's Auto Struck By Trailer Truck; Was Overseas Veteran A Tucson sailor home on leave, was killed early this morning near Marana when his car was struck by a trailer truck driven by E. D. Jeffry of Yuma. The sailor, W. J. Allred 2278 South Seventh, had been home on leave after two years overseas. Yesterday he took the family car and went to visit some people in Mather. It was on his way home that the tragedy occurred, Highway Patrolman, Coy Beasley reported that the car was completely demolished and he died on the way to the Marana hospital. According to the Highway Patrol, the truck which is owned by the Signal Oil Company of Los Angeles, was on the wrong side of the highway when the accident occurred.
