AMABILE, Charlotte (Dee)

Merced (CA) Sun Star Friday, September 30, 2011 Charlotte "Dee" Amabile, October 3, 1949-September 24, 2011. Dee was born in Fresno on October 3, 1949. She lived with her parents Dorothy and Pete Simmons in Firebaugh for several years and then moved to Wickenburg, Arizona where she graduated high school. She married Louie Amabile in 1972 and had three children. Anthony "Tony", Lisa and Christine. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Emily, Louis, Chloe, Raegan, Ryan and Cody. Dee enjoyed the mountains and country music, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. They brought her the most joy and made her time here so great. She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Pete Simmons and a brother Jerry Allen. Dee is survived by her husband Louie Amabile, son Tony Amabile, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Roger Huff, daughter and son-in-law Christine and Frankie Ruiz. 6 grandchildren Emily (15), Louis (12), Chloe (6), Raegan (10), Ryan (8) and Cody (7). 4 brothers Dale Simmons, John Simmons, Mark Simmons and Tim Simmons. A "Celebration of Life" will be held Monday, October 3rd at Los Banos Arts Council at 2pm. In lieu of flowers Dee asked to have trees planted in her name, donate to Bristol Hospice of Merced or Charity of donors choice.
