BRIONES, Peter R.

West Valley View, Avondale, AZ September 20, 2011 Peter R. Briones, 84, of Peoria and formerly of Palo Verde died Sept. 14, 2011, in Peoria. Mr. Briones was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Peoria. He worked for the Arlington Elementary District for many years before retiring in 1962. He served in the Army in World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by two daughters, Gesila Jensen of Peoria and Barbara Thomas-Kruse of Pennsylvania; one son, Henry of Peoria; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 Baseline Road in Buckeye.
