West Valley View, Avondale, AZ October 11, 2011 Maria Olga Chavez, 62, of Avondale died Oct. 5, 2011, at her home. Mrs. Chavez was born Aug. 12, 1949, in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico, to Pedro and Gregoria Barraza. She married Jose Torivio Chavez on April 11, 1964. She moved to Arizona 26 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Goodyear. She is survived by her husband, Jose; three daughters, Angelica, Rosa and Veronica; four sons, Chano, Armando, Torivio and Miguel; nine sisters; two brothers; and 19 grandchildren. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 539 E. La Pasada Blvd. in Goodyear. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
