West Valley View, Avondale, AZ October 11, 2011 Cooper Yale Courtney, 16, of Litchfield Park died Oct. 5, 2011, in Goodyear. Cooper was born May 2, 1995, in Phoenix to Shaun-Marie Davis and Leland Courtney. He was a sophomore at Verrado High School in Buckeye. He is survived by his mother, Shaun-Marie; father, Leland of Globe; one brother, Tatum; three sisters, Sydnie, MaKenna and Madilyn; and five grandparents, Arlene and Jack Brunson, Pennie Lee, Keith Stover and Richard Courtney; and two great-grandmothers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 425 E. Estrella Parkway in Goodyear. ~~~~~~~~~ Thompson Funeral Chapel, Goodyear, Arizona Cooper Yale Courtney, of Litchfield Park, Arizona, joined his Heavenly Father Wednesday, October 5, 2011 to continue his eternal mission. Born in Phoenix, Arizona on May 2, 1995, to Shaun-Marie Davis and Leland Courtney, Cooper was a unconditional loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and genuine friend. His passions were cooking, playing football and time enjoyed with family and friends. Cooper was known for his contagious laughter, his compassionate concern and comforting qualities for every person he knew and anyone he met. He was set on ensuring he was dressed “Fly” and always wanted to make sure he “smelled good”. Cooper is survived by his mother, Shaun-Marie Davis of Litchfield Park, Arizona, his father Leland Courtney of Globe, Arizona; brother Tatum, sisters Sydnie, MaKenna and Madilyn; grandparents Pennie Lee, Keith Stover, Arlene and Jack Brunson, Richard Courtney; Great-Grandmothers Marcelle Houston, Dottie Brock and numerous Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. “Don’t say goodbye, it’s see you later” (Cooper Courtney) Those who wish to attend the funeral service are asked to gather at 10:00 am on October 12, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 425 S. Estrella Parkway, Goodyear, Arizona 85338. The service will begin at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cooper Courtney Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank
