VANCE, Eileen Frances

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, April 11, 2006 Eileen Frances Vance, 78, of Prescott passed from this world on April 7, 2006. She was born February 23, 1928 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of John C. and Cecilia R. (Geiger) Ryan. She moved to Phoenix in 1951 and worked for the telephone company. She retired in 1978 with over 25 years of service. She moved to Prescott in 2002 to be closer to her family. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Albert Q. Vance, Sr. and an older brother Albert Ryan. Eileen is survived by her son Albert Q. Vance, Jr. (Lynnette) of Moore, OK and her daughter Ann E. Naughton (Dennis) of Prescott, AZ and her grandchildren Ashley Anne, Nicholas, Katherine, Ashley Marie, Christopher, Kimberly, Spencer and Eric. She also leaves behind three sisters, Dorothy (Tom) Ockuly of Phoenix, AZ, Virginia Crouse of Cleveland, OH and Cecilia Mikla of Cleveland, OH and a brother, John (Pat) Ryan of Prescott. Eileen's family would like to gratefully acknowledge Eileen's caregiver since 2004, Teresa Martinez who was a god-send. Teresa and her family treated Eileen with dignity and respect and considered her a part of their family. They will miss her deeply. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th St., Phoenix, Ariz. Entombment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St. Arrangements by Hansen Mortuary.
