BOURGEOIS, Dorothy

West Valley View, Avondale, AZ May 04, 2010 Dorothy Bourgeois, 56, of Phoenix and formerly of Avondale, died April 25, 2010, in Phoenix. She was born Jan. 29, 1954, in Concord, Mass. She moved to Arizona in 2003 and was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church in Avondale. She is survived by two daughters, Nicole Gabriel of Litchfield Park and Michelle of Phoenix; one son, Chad of Fitchburg, Mass.; her mother, Dorothy Sawyer of Acton, Mass.; one sister, Deborah Sawyer of Acton; two brothers, Ronald Sawyer of Natick, Mass., and Kevin Sawyer of Acton; and six grandchildren. She graduated from Glendale Community College at age 54 and was attending Arizona State University to become a social worker. Services will be at 7 p.m. May 13 at Western Avenue Baptist Church, 522 E. Western Ave. in Avondale. The Rev. David Smith will officiate.
