VANYO, David Jerome

David Jerome Vanyo, 66, of Scottsdale, a retired lieutenant colonel in the Air Force, died Dec. 22, 1996.  

He was born in Wheeling, W.VA, and was a director of safety for Luke Air Force Base and a member of the New Heart Society.  

Survivors include his wife, Kathi; daughters, Nancy Etchart and Dede Wathey; son, Dooley; sisters, Susan Roman and Carolyn; brother, James; and six grandchildren.  

Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 447 S. Litchfield Road, Litchfield Park.  Contributions: University of Arizona Medical Center, Heart Transplants, 1501 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson, AZ.  Menke Funeral Home.
