MICHELENA, Juan Agustin


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Wednesday, October 26, 2011 Juan Agustin Michelena, 66, of Williams passed away on October 20, 2011. He was born on May 1, 1945 in Irurita, Spain to Juan & Maria (Elizalde) Michelena. Agustin came from Spain to northern Arizona in 1969 and worked as a contract laborer for the Redhill Sheep Company. He also worked as a logger for Stone Forest Industries and retired from the Grand Canyon Railway. Agustin is survived by his wife of 34 years; Geneva "Bobbie" Michelena, daughter; Maria (Mike) Gee of Williams, sons; Juan Michelena of Williams and Adam Zamudio of Williams, sisters; Maria Angeles, Maria Josepha, Maria Ludres, Maria Milagros all of Spain, brother, Juan B. Michelena of Williams and 9 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Tiburcio Michelena, daughter; Alexandra Michelena and granddaughter; Kiana Michelena. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 900 W. Grant Ave. in Williams. A reception will follow at the Sultana Theater, 30 1 W.
