Virginia Horejsi

Virginia Marie Horejsi, 87, of Flagstaff, Arizona died October 25, 2011 with her family by her side. She was born January 23, 1924 in Carter, Montana. Virginia lived in Minnesota for many years, where she met and married Henry Horejsi in 1944. In 1958 the family moved to Flagstaff where she owned and managed the Pine Top Restaurant. She worked at AJ Bayless and retired from Coconino County Treasurers office.
Virginia and Henry spent their retiring years enjoying Phoenix during the winter months and Flagstaff during the summer. In both places Virginia was very active and dedicated to numerous organizations in the Catholic Church. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. She was well known for her famous homemade cinnamon rolls. Enjoyment of dancing led Virginia and Henry to make an appearance on the Lawrence Welk Show.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, of 67 years; parents, Edward and Rose Lippert; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her six children: Doug of Phoenix, Kathy Wesolowski of Anthem, Barbara Giovannetti of Prescott Valley, Dianne Mott, Jerry (Trish) and Sharlene Hulls (Chris), all of Flagstaff; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, one sister and two brothers.
Service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Nativity BVM Catholic Church. Viewing and Rosary at 9:30 am, Mass at 10:30 am and burial immediately following at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flagstaff Arizona.
