Dawn M. (Driesbaugh) Lewis-Imperi passed away at her home in Laughlin, Nev., on Sept. 6, 2011. Dawn is survived by her mother, Peggy Haslam of Nevada, Mo.; her father, Jon Mizell of Kingman; her aunt and uncle, Bill and Patti Burrow of Bullhead City, Ariz.; her sister, Rhiannon Mizell of Nevada, Mo.; her nieces Zoee, Ashton, and Teegan; and her nephew, Liam.
Dawn graduated from Kingman High School in 1988. She was a well-known and beloved member of the Laughlin/Bullhead City community, and in 2005 was voted Laughlin Citizen of the Year. She worked for many years as the Finance Manager at the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce, where she worked closely with business leaders and community members.
An active member of many community organizations, Dawn was voted Rotarian of the Year in 2002 and became Rotary Club President in 2004. Dawn received countless community service awards and was widely recognized as someone whose hard work and dedication were as boundless as her capacity to care for people and her effortless ability to make those she came in contact with feel special. Dawn had a natural ability to make friends, and an entire community mourns her loss.
An open house will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the American Legion, 1510 Bruce Woodbury Drive, Laughlin, Nev., with a celebration of life service at 2 p.m.
