MASTIN, Harold Lloyd

West Valley View, Avondale, AZ October 25, 2011 Harold Lloyd Mastin, 81, of Goodyear died Oct. 19, 2011, in Prescott. Mr. Mastin was born Dec. 11, 1929, in Irvine, Ky. He moved to Arizona in 1962, and was a meteorologist and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served in the Air Force for 20 years during the Korean and Vietnam wars, and was a master sergeant. He is survived by his wife, Lois; one daughter, Trena Linders; his mother, Mattie; two sisters, Mae Shearer and Bettye Mastin Baker; one brother, Lewis; and one grandchild. He was an active volunteer in Goodyear, including for the Planning and Zoning committees and West Valley Fine Arts Association. He was also an Arizona Weather Watcher Observer for the Office of Climatology at Arizona State University. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 2300 W. Van Buren St. in Phoenix. The Rev. David Bolte will officiate. Memorials can be sent to the Disabled Veterans Organization at www.dav.org.
