Hayden, age 83, a 10-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Desert Springs Hospital, Las Vegas, Nev. Wallace was born April 21, 1928, in Wise, Virginia. Wallace was a member of the Birkenfelder Reunion Association, The American Legion, Post 87 Bullhead City, and a life member of Post 1 AMVETS, Tacoma, Wash. Wallace is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorene Hayden; son, Walter Hayden of Seattle; daughter, Lenora and Greg Tabor of Colorado Springs, Colo. (parents of Tiffany of Henderson, Nev., Calvin of Cleveland, Ohio, and Owen and Philip of Colorado Springs, Colo.); two brothers, Miller Dean of St. George, Utah, and Joe Mac of Wise, Va.; daughter-in-law, Maggie Hayden of Fircrest, Wash. (mother of two grandchildren, Brian (Andrea) and Nicole (Nicholas) of Seattle); and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hayden and Drew. Wallace was a loving and devoted husband, father and friend. He will be missed by everyone who knew him, especially his family who loved him very much. A private memorial service will be held.
