Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, October 29, 2011 - Alice Melba Stack passed away Oct. 25, in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 90. She was born on March 7, 1921, in Bache, Okla., to John and Daisy (Sinclair) Hinton. Alice worked for 28 years for a gas company as the office manager. She moved to Lake Havasu City in 1983 from Washington. She is a member of the Art Guild, and president of the Business Professional Women Group. Alice is survived by her loving family, son, Jim Stack; daughters, Ilene Poston Smith, of Red Bank, N.J., and Patricia Venn, of Seaside, Calif.; step-son, Bob Stack; step-daughter, Rita Witte; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Burleigh Poston, Earl Hamner and Howard Stack. Visitation will be Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel followed by services at 11 a.m. with words of comfort by Pastor Dale Ray. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
