ALLEN, Ethel

(Maiden Name: Buckland)

Ethel Buckland Allen, died Dec. 29, 2000 in Phoenix. She was born June 17, 1907 in Archer, Idaho and attended local school there before becoming a high school student at Westminster in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating from Idaho Tech in Pocatello, Idaho, she taught school prior to her marriage to Howard Allen in 1927. They farmed in the Snake River Valley area in Idaho for over 40 years. She has been a resident of Mesa and Phoenix for the past 11 years. Her husband and a daughter preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, John Allen of Kennewick, WA; a daughter, Sharon Jouflas of Phoenix; 10 grandchildren 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Services were held in Rexburg, Idaho. Arrangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary. The Arizona Republic 12/31/2000
