CRAWFORD, Ruth Jean

Ruth Jean Crawford of Valley Farms died Dec. 27, 2000 in Casa Grande. The funeral was at Valley Nazarene Church in Coolidge, with the Rev. Ralph Scott officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park. Mrs. Crawford was born in Omaha. She graduated from St. Paul Bible College in Minnesota, served as a missionary and was a member of Tabernacle Coral Club in Nebraska. She enjoyed hiking and teaching and was a teacher's aide for 20 years in Coolidge schools before retirement. She also worked for five years at the old Kenilworth Elementary School as a librarian. Survivors include her husband, John D. Crawford Sr.; five daughters, Cheryl Espinoza of Tucson, Jeanne Crawford of Kansas City, Mo., Dana Higginbotham of Apache Junction, Debbie Kimbrough of Pleasanton, Calif., and Cathy Montijo of Coolidge; a son, John Crawford Jr. of Coolidge; and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Jo, in 1989. Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Casa Grande Dispatch December 30, 2000
