Roy Vernon Hahn, 70 years of age, Phoenix, AZ.
Roy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 10, 1930 to Pauline Darby & Charles Hahn. Roy's father died when he was 6 months old. Gilbert Jones, his stepfather, raised him in Michigan with Pauline.
Roy was married to Anna Hall in Detroit, Michigan. Together they raised four children: Kathleen Ann, a teacher, who married Saffie Joseph from Trinidad, currently residing in Barbados with their 2 sons, Attie Saffie Joseph II and Saffie Anthony Joseph II Terry Glenn, master carpenter, who married Shevon, and their 2 children, Troy and Hayle, who reside in Pinckney, Michigan Timothy Roy, a machinist/chef who married Sherry Rossen, and their three children, Jason, Jeremy and Ruth Ann and Lori Lucille, a medical insurance supervisor, who married Douglas McChesney, and daughter, Carly.
Roy was preceded in death by his two brothers, Charles and Bobby Gene and his mother, Pauline. Roy leaves behind his stepbrother, Daniel Jones and dear sister-in-law, Connie Hahn of Mesa AZ, Tina Hahn of Michigan, and a stepsister, Patricia Szelkowski of Michigan.
He was retired from Allied Signal but not before providing the aviation world with years of his expertise. He worked on parts for the Space Shuttle and all jetliner fuel systems. He was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather and brother. His hobbies were tennis and fishing. He was proud of his tap dancing with all the ladies while residing in Sun Lakes.
Roy was respected and loved by all who knew him. He was kind, considerate and lived his life to make others laugh! He will be missed by those souls he's left behind and welcomed by those souls who preceded him to heaven. He told the chaplain he was ready for God to take him home. He was thankful to the kind and generous staff at Scottsdale Memorial North. They knew him well and cared for him lovingly, with dedication, extreme patience and kindness.
