George Eldon Haney
George was born Dec. 12, 1931 in Toole County, Montana to Eldon and Margret Haney. He graduated from Deaver High School and joined the Air Force. He served his military duties in California and Texas, and was discharged from Perrin AFB in Texas. After he returned to Deaver he attended junior college in Powell.
He pursued his lifelong dream of flying by enrolling in aviation ground school, but his educational studies soon took him in another direction. He was very family oriented, he never married, but kept close track of nieces, nephews, and where they were, and what their interests were.
In his final years he had a keen interest in the salvation army, and donated much of his time to that organization as well as his church group. His hobby was arts and crafts, he was adept at fashioning wooden figures, airplanes, and later painting a variety of pictures from people and animals to landscapes.
He is survived by two sisters and a brother. Pat Heron of Flagstaff, Az., Judy Jansen of pacific, Wa., and Daniel Haney of Las Vegas, Nv. He was preceded in death by his older brother William.
