Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Friday, November 04, 2011 Kenneth Wayne Kemper November 11, 1914 - November 02, 2011 Holly Springs, NC Kenneth Wayne Kemper, 96, of Holly Springs, NC passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2011. Kenneth was born in Franklin, Nebraska to the late Frank Kemper and Martha Blake. He graduated college from the University of Nebraska where he was trained in Government Weather Bureau and Meteorology. He was a pilot in Alaska for eight years, giving local radio stations weather reports, and served on reconnaissance missions from Nome, Alaska and across the Bering Straight to survey Russian shores. Kenneth was a local weather reporter in Flagstaff, AZ from 1961-1981. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, LaVaughn Kemper. He is survived by his children Cheryl Kemper (husband Carl Sanfedele) of Holly Springs, NC and Steve Kemper (wife Cindy) of Loveland, CO; grandchildren Laura, Dean, Scott, Sean and Misty; great grandchildren Lisa, Alexia, Rebecca, Andrew and Caleb; and great-great grandchildren Ronin, Ryo and Brianna.
