The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/04/2011 Lula Eagar Hale. 91, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, in Eagar. She was born March 1, 1920, in Hurricane, Utah to William Walter Eagar and Henrietta Jensen. Lula was a good, honest, hardworking, charitable woman who dearly loved her family and friends. Her mother died when she was only 2 and her aunt Camilla Rencher raised her. She graduated from Round Valley High School in 1938 and moved to California to live with her brother Oscar Walter Eagar. She began working as a secretary and worked her way up to the position of administrative assistant in the J. Paul Getty Oil Company. She retired in 1984 and returned home to Eagar. There she met Ray Hale and they were married June 21, 1986. She is survived by her stepchildren: Sadie Greer, Betty Thurber, Carl Lamar Hale, and many nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Funeral services for Lula Hale were held Thursday, Nov. 3, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Eagar Stake Center. Interment followed at the Eagar Cemetery.
