MORSE, Shirley Ann

Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, Prescott Valley, Arizona Shirley Ann Morse, age 70, of Prescott Valley, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center West in Prescott. Shirley was born on November 28, 1940 in Redwood City, CA to Christopher and Flora Mattias. On December 13, 1963, she married Daniel Harold Morse, who survives her. Shirley is also survived by her children, Billy Ray Morse of Bonny Lake, WA, Suzanne Carol Yahne of Shingle Town, CA, Lorraine H. Yahne of Benton City, WA, Jeffory Fred Morse of San Ramone, CA, Dana M. (Scotty) O’Friel of Silverton, WA, Ginger Ann (Danny) Martin of Lampe, MO, grandchildren, Brooke, Ryan, Steven, Candace, Rachelle, Daniel, Morgan, Loren, Michael, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Christopher Mattias. Shirley and her family moved to Prescott Valley eight years ago from California. She enjoyed traveling, boating, dancing, and her cats. But it was her family that brought her the greatest joy. She loved being a wife, mother and great and grandmother, and watching her children and great and grandchildren graduate school. Education was very important to her. There will be no services, but memorial contributions may be made to a local women’s shelter or any fund to combat domestic violence. The family was assisted by the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel in Prescott Valley, AZ.
