Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning at the Wickenburg Chapel for Sydney Redford and were conducted by the Rev. Dan Gerrard, Rector of St. Alban's Episcopal Church.
The body was sent to Milwaukee for burial beside his wife in the Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Mr Redford died of a heart attack at 9 o'clock Monday evening while visiting with his brother Art in their home at the Shell Motel which they bought when they came to Wickenburg in 1947. It was known as the Hi-Ho Motel at that time and was considered rather "far out from town.
Mr Redford was born in London, England, October 30, 1896 and came to the United States in 1920, locating first in Cincinnati, Ohio, and then moving to Milwaukee, Wis., where he was engaged in the commercial garage business before moving to Wickenburg. He served in the British Army in World War I, and saw action in Belgium and France. Mrs Redford passed away in Milwaukee shortly before he moved to Arizona.
Surviving, in addition to his brother Art here, is another brother Jack who lives in Pasadena. He came here immediately upon learning of the death of his brother.
