Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday of this week at the Rose Chapel Mortuary in Paradise, Calif., for Charles W. Otey, a former resident of Wickenburg who passed away March 3 in a rest home in Paradise. He had been in ill health for a number of years. He was 76 years of age.
Mr. Otey, while a resident here, served as Town Clerk from November 1, 1948 to November 30, 1951. He was also active in Wickenburg I.O.O.F Lodge No. 29 and Rebekah Lodge No. 39, serving as secretary of both orders. He was a Past Grand Treasurer of the state I. O. O. F Lodge, a position he was forced to give up by ill health.
Mr. Otey moved to Paradise several years ago to be with his daughter, Mrs. Ulg and Mr. Ulg. Mrs. Otey passed away here a number of years ago.
