BRAMKAMP, John M. (Dr.)

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 12, 1963 Dr. Bramkamp Rites in Ohio Funeral services were held this week in the Walnut Hills Lutheran Church of Cincinnati, Ohio, for Dr. John M. Bramkamp, 96 years-old father of Lew Bramkamp of Wickenburg, and interment followed in the Ferncliff Cemetery in Springfield, Ohio. Dr. Bramkamp passed away in a Cincinnati hospital early Sunday morning. He had been a patient there several weeks. Born December 21, 1867 in Cincinnati, Dr. Bramkamp was graduated from Wittenburg College at Springfield, Ohio in 1890. In 1895 he married Sarah Breckenridge. He served as pastor of Lutheran churches in Indiana, Kentucky and the Chicago area and for 10 years was president of the Illinois Synod of the United Lutheran Church. Dr. Bramkamp spent two winters in Wickenburg with his son and Mrs Bramkamp. Surviving in addition to the son, are a daughter Mrs. James L. Gutermuth of Cincinnati and a grandson John L. Bramkamp in Maryland.
