BUCK, Paul A.

The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, January 4, 2007 Paul A. Buck, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, died on December 31, 2006 after an extended illness. Paul was born to Aston and Iris Atha Buck on November 27, 1929, in Saint Jo, Texas. After serving in the U.S. Army, Paul made his home in Sacramento, California, where he married Ruth Irwin and had two sons, Mark and David. Paul officially retired in 1992. In 1998, Paul and his wife, Elsie, moved to Prescott Valley. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and step-son, Jay Bruning. Survivors include his loving wife, Elsie; sons; grandsons, Christopher and Cory Buck; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Sally Buck; step-children, Michael and Mona Bruning; and step-mother, Nora Buck. Paul enjoyed being a volunteer for the Prescott Valley Police Department. He spent many hours working at the department's firing range. He will be missed dearly. A memorial service will be on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, in Prescott Valley. The service will be followed by a reception at the Moose Lodge, 6501 E. 6th Street in Prescott Valley. Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home. Information provided by survivors.
