Mrs. Minnie Jones, 93, Pioneer Cook, Is Dead
Mrs. Minnie Jones, 93, died this morning at the Arizona Pioneers Home. She was a cook at the mine boarding house at Humboldt for many years.
Born May 17, 1864, in Philadelphia, she came to Prescott in 1898 and became a guest at the home on January 22, 1946.
Her brother, Frank Maiser, San Diego, Calif. is the only survivor.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Olds Mortuary.
Note: Mrs. Jones was the wife of George H. Jones and she is buried at the Arizona Pioneer Cemetery, Prescott, Az.

Mrs. Minnie Jones
Mrs. Minnie Jones, a guest at the Pioneers’ Home, entering from Yavapai county on Jan. 22, 1946, died at the Home on Monday of last week.
Born May 17, 1864, in Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Jones was 93 years old. She had, prior to her retirement, been a cook at the mine boarding house in Humboldt for many years, having come to the Prescott vicinity in 1898.
Services were held at the Olds Chapel at 2 o’clock last Thursday afternoon, and interment followed in the Pioneers’ cemetery.
Survivors are: a brother, Frank Maiser, Poway, Calif.; a niece, Elsie Bushmore, Julian, Calif.; and nephews Raymond and Walter Maiser of San Diego, Calif.
Note: Mrs. Jones was the wife of George H. Jones and died April 15, 1957.
