Jack Robert
Jack Robert Hight, age 80, passed away at his home, November 20, 2002. He was born in Wilson, OK, October 7, 1922.
His family moved to Winkleman/Hayden, AZ when he was very young. He graduated from Hayden HS in Hayden, AZ in 1940. He joined the U.S. Coast Guard in June of 1940 and served for over 5 years. He graduated from UofA in 1950 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a mechanical engineer for over 35 years.
On August 29, 1948 he married Willie E. Parker in Hayden, AZ. After retiring in 1984 they moved to Chevlon Retreat near Heber, AZ, where he passed away from a long battle of cancer.
He was past president of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers. He was a 30-year member of the Elks Lodge. He loved the outdoors and hunting. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He conducted many rifle shoot competitions.
He is survived by his wife Willie Hight of Heber, 2 daughters Robin (Kevin) Allred of Casa Grande and Willie Jean (Jimmie Wallace) Hight of Coolidge, 2 sons James Rodger (Debbie) Hight of Fernley, Nevada and William (Sheri) Hudzietz of Mesa, one brother Henry B. Hight of Phoenix and one sister Dorothy Hall of Prescott. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and also numerous nieces and nephews.
