Greta Mae Palmer, aged 90, of Corry, PA, died November 21, 2002 in Phoenix, AZ.
She was born in Warren, PA, on November, 14, 1912, a daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Wood Knupp of Warren, PA.
She graduated from Warren High School in 1930 and in 1931 married Ervin C. Palmer who preceded her in death in 1979.
The Palmer family moved to a farm outside Clymer, NY in 1940 where they were members of the Marks Corners Evangelical United Brethren Church for twenty-six years. Mrs. Palmer was an avid reader, loved flower gardening, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidering, latch hooking, cooking, baking, sewing and playing the piano. She exhibited her many skills during the years she assisted in the Ravelin Hill 4-H Club. She also collected antique bowls and vases.
Mr. and Mrs. Palmer moved to Corry, PA, in 1966 and she was employed at Elgin Electronics until retirement. She was a member of the Elgin United Methodist Church until the time of her death.
The decedent is survived by four children: Mildred M. Cooney, Corry, PA; Rev. Charles F. Palmer, Cabot, AR; Paul L. Palmer, Ridgeway, PA; and Joyce E. Bartels, Phoenix, AZ; by three brothers: Gilbert Knupp. Nobelsville, IN; Rev. Clarence Knupp, Phoenix, AZ; Charles Knupp, Runaway Bay, TX; and by sixteen grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Mrs. Palmer was also preceded in death by three brothers: Everett, Norris and Lyle Knupp and two sisters: Lela Hubbard and Inez Jackson.
Memorial services were at the Desert Hope Wesleyan Church, 2600 N. 59th Ave, Phx. Memorial service was also scheduled at the convenience of the family in Corry, PA.
Interment will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek, PA.
