SHIELDS, Dorothy Lurlene

(Maiden Name: Madson)

Dorothy Lurlene Shields passed away peacefully at home in Mesa on Thursday, November 21, 2002, with Robert, her husband of 56 years, by her side. 

Dorothy was born on October 3, 1920 in Banks, North Dakota, the third child of Ethel and Oscar Madson. 

In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Dorothy retired as school secretary for the Mesa Public School after 22 years. 

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Robert E. Shields; sons Michael and Christopher; brother Emil Madson and six grandchildren. 

Visitation and services were at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa. Reverend John Schaumburg officiated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests heartfelt contributions to Hospice Family Care.
