Pioneer of Yavapai Is Called by Death
Thomas Anderson, pioneer of Yavapai county, who came to Williamson Valley in 1876, died at 6:30 o’clock this morning at the Pioneers’ Home, where he had been a guest since May 15, 1936.
The deceased was born in Wisconsin on January 20, 1863, the son of Thomas and Juliet Anderson. He was a Catholic by faith. He was married twice but had no children.
A step-daughter, Mrs. Frank J. (Lulu) Stone lives at 124 Garden street. No other relatives survive.
Anderson was a prominent cattleman in Williamson Valley until his health failed and he came to Prescott to live.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Ruffner Funeral Home.
