The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, May 12, 1938 Pioneer of Yavapai Is Called by Death Thomas Anderson, pioneer of Yavapai county, who came to Williamson Valley in 1876, died at 6:30 o’clock this morning at the Pioneers’ Home, where he had been a guest since May 15, 1936. The deceased was born in Wisconsin on January 20, 1863, the son of Thomas and Juliet Anderson. He was a Catholic by faith. He was married twice but had no children. A step-daughter, Mrs. Frank J. (Lulu) Stone lives at 124 Garden street. No other relatives survive. Anderson was a prominent cattleman in Williamson Valley until his health failed and he came to Prescott to live. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Ruffner Funeral Home. Note: Burial was made at the Arizona Pioneer’s Home Cemetery in Prescott, Az.
